NO MORE HICCUPS
Hiccups usually go away on their own and are caused by a stomach that is very full. When a person eats too fast, swallows too much air, gets emotionally excited or changes the temperature of the stomach by drinking something cold, followed by something hot, the body can respond with hiccups.
By increasing the level of carbon dioxide in the blood, honey is able to stop hiccups. This same effect can be had by breathing into a paper bag, drinking a cold glass of water, holding your breath and counting slowly to 10 (or more) or taking a teaspoon of peanut butter, agave syrup, maple syrup or sugar.
Normally, hiccups are more a nuisance than a painful condition.
